Giraffe-y Birthday Card

I made this one for my niece Amber, she is a giraffe lover. And don't you know, I didn't get it out to her in time! Sooo...I decided to make a giraffe-y scene with some stickers from my stash. I took the sticky off of the giraffe, by putting a bit of baby powder on the back, then I popped it up on foam tape. I wanted him to look like he was in the trees so I put that strip of ivy behind him and surrounded him with a little leaf scatter. Once again, my chocolate ribbon is showing up black in the photo but it really is brown. This was a fun card to make. I hope she likes it.

Supplies-Cardstock:Bamboo, Autumn Terracotta, Sunflower, Colonial White (CTMH). B&T Paper:Expedition (CTMH). Stickers: Zoo Fun (Creative Memories). Stamp:Birthday Basics (PTI). Ink:Chocolate (CTMH).Ribbon:Chocolate Grosgrain.(CTMH).

Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is very nice! I had to re-read that you used stickers, cuz I was thinking...that giraffe looks fantastic and so real! LOL Goofy me. Seriously though...much as I would like to have creations like this pop into my brain, they don't and I admire the heck out of anyone who comes up with neat things like this!

How clever to use the stickers that way, Barb! I'd never have thought to use the baby powder to remove their 'stickiness' -- thanks for sharing that tip. It's a very cute card and I'm sure your niece will love receiving it...even if it's a bit late. ;)
