Father's Day Weekend

We are still super busy! This is the last week of dance classes before the Performance and the girls are still being fitted for costumes and having alterations done. In addition to that, they have been attending extra rehearsals. In between running them hither and yon, I've been trying to catch up on my cleaning while the weather is still nice. I cannot believe it is June 24. We are having wonderful weather. Cloudy and overcast in the morning, sometimes until 11:00. The days are warm but not unbearable and then the evenings are cool and breezy. This is just the way I like it, but it is NOT the norm for us, this time of year. I was looking at some of my posts from this time last year and I was melting because we were experiencing days well over the 100 degree mark. I know it won't last so I'm trying to pack as much into my days as possible. Okay. Enough of that! Let's get to the real reason you stopped by...the creative stuff...

First of all, I hope everyone had a great Father's Day. The girls and I set out to really spoil their dad. He never wants anything, so we rarely purchase gifts for him. We always ask what he would like to do for his special day and we always get the same answer. This year was different though and Father's Day turned into Father's Weekend. We really didn't mind. He is such a great dad and it was nice to see him with such a big smile on his face. Now...on to the layouts. You can click on the images to enlarge.

This is the end of a perfect day/weekend. The torches were lit, the pool lights were on and the water felt wonderful. A nighttime swim would have really topped things off nicely, but it was just a little too cool.

OMW! You gals were sooooo sweet to spoil him like that --not only did he get to feast like a king, but you also worked like peasants for him getting your yard whipped into tip-top shape. lol I hope you all weren't aching too much the day or two after. I know I'd be. ;) Your LOs are wonderful -- you're always so awesome at capturing the full essence of each little snapshot of your lives, and I'm so glad that you share them with us all. And another "as always"...I love reading about how you spent your holiday. My guy's missing out, but he'll never know cuz I sure won't be tellin' him. lol BIG kudos to you for spoiling your Man like you do!

I hope the heat doesn't return with too much of a vengeance, but I'll bet it'd sure be nice to enjoy an evening swim once in a while, too. hee, hee
