Buzzin' By to Say...Hi!

It seems like forever since my last post, but it's just been a week! We have been packing so much into this summer and I've just not gone into my studio very much. We've gone to see plays and dance recitals. We go to the movies A LOT to beat the heat. We're visting family and friends. We're hanging out at the pool and the beach. And I've gotten together a few of my girl friends and we do water aerobics in the mornings. Vic is taking a biology course in summer school, so we've been watching her do experiments and some really gross projects involving cows liver and that is ALL that I will say about that. The other day, she extracted DNA from a strawberry, that was interesting. And, I've fallen in love...with ice cream...again. I gave up dairy products years ago and since I am a foodie...no fake dairy for me...that also meant giving up ice cream. I really didn't miss it. But this summer, SweetP discovered these cute little singles...Ben and Jerry's makes them, so do Starbucks and Haagen Dazs. She bought me one. Java Chip Frappucino. Starbucks brand.

YUM-O! I love coffee flavored things and this was delicious! So, I allow myself one, okay two, a week. And once the heat of summer has passed, I will pass on the ice cream. Maybe.

I do have a card to share today. I made this little cutie at a Stampin' Up! card workshop with my friend Caryl. I love using the scallop edge punch in this way. It makes the perfect frame. All of the products on this card are from the new SU! catty. The card base is made with one of their new In Colors, called Rich Razzleberry. The scalloped frame card stocks are Old Olive and Orchid Opulence and the DP is from the Cottage Wall collection. The greeting was stamped on Whisper White and I cut it out and put a litte rhinestone brad in the flower. Then I adhered it to a piece of card stock that I punched using the scallop square. I used Rich Razzleberry Polka-Dot Grosgrain ribbon to tie all it together. Gotta love those Stampin' Up color names. They are so fun!

Supplies-All Stampin' Up! most are noted above. stamp:Four Square. ink:Orchid Opulence. Rhinestone brad:Circle Ice(Lilac)

I hope each of you is squeezing every drop out of your summer. It'll be over before you know it. SweetP starts school in three short weeks and Victoria leaves for the University the first of September. And speaking of September, what ever happened to the days when school started in September, usually after Labor Day? Ahhh...those were the good ol' days!

Have a wonderful week everyone. I plan to do some blog visiting this week to get some inspiration. Thank you so much for buzzin' by. I appreciate the visit.

Blessings~
Bee

Yummy! I have been lovin' the ice cream this summer too! I guess when winter hits here in the Midwest, I will stop eating the ice cream (until spring)...LOL!

Love your card! I haven't tried that with my scallop punch. Looks pretty! I am glad you are enjoying your summer. Take care!

So glad you buzzed by! I'm thrilled to hear you are thoroughly enjoying your summer. I'm a boring ice-cream eater, really just like basic chocolate and I don't buy it very often. I will (& do) "make do" with Fudgecicles (never know how to spell it) which are always in the house.

Love the card you shared! Those color names certainly are FUN!

Keep on enjoying this time with your girls and your friends, we'll be here waiting for you when you get the itch to create again. Hugs to you!
