You're So Sweet

I just love this stamp set from Papertrey Ink. The whole idea of using buttons as part of the image made me smile right from the start. I love buttons and I have a lot of them, what a wonderful way to put them to use. The stamp set is called Everyday Button Bits...so cute! And this month PTI is releasing Holiday Button Bits, definitely gonna be adding that one to my stash, too. But for now, onto the cards...I really like cherry images and I'm still working on my cherry coloring with the Copics, so being able to use buttons instead was very fun for me. I made two cards, using the same image, but with different accent colors. I find that I tend to use the cards in my stash if I have two or more of them. Otherwise I hoard them. I know, it's awful, but that's just the kind of girl I am! Anyway, I am trying to get better at making a few of each card I create, one for me, one for blessing someone else and one to sell. Okay. Here are the cards...I love the way they turned out and I'm really glad I made multiples.

This one features PTI Scarlet Jewel as the accent color. A real gorgeous rich merlot color. Perfect with the cherry image paper from Graphic 45. And don't you just love that yummy ribbon? I thought the gingham looked great against the striped paper-which is the back side of the cherry paper, btw- and the polka dots. The buttons are from PTI as well.

For this next one, everything is the same except for the accent color. I used PTI's True Black here. And instead of tying a bow, I made a knot with that delicious ribbon. I purchased the ribbon from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. She has such an amazing offering of ribbon! You can buy a roll or just a yard, gotta love that! I bought some of her scrumptious silk ribbon, too. Hopefully, that will be making an appearance on my blog real soon. I even went the extra step and put a little decoration on the inside. I really like when I receive a handmade card and the inside has a little love in it too...so special!

***I wish I could send one of these 'You're So Sweet' cards to all of you who have stuck with me in my absence and to all of you who sent cards, e-mails and notes of encouragement. I do so appreciate that. Consider these cards yours...hugs to you all!***
