Our Spring Decor

I wanted to post something positive after all the hullabaloo of earlier today. So, here are some photos of our home decorated for Spring.

Here is our entry table again. It looks quite different from last month and that is what I try to accomplish with each change. I love those fluffy, yellow chicks and so do my day care kids. Every day I have to tell them they can look at everything, but touch NOTHING.

The dining room table is dressed in spring lace. I've collected lace items for years and I really do USE them. My tulips are faux...they last longer than the real ones and every year I just pull them out, give them a shake and they are ready to go!

I also used to collect bunnies. I've given most of them away now, I just saved a few that have special meaning. The little cream colored one with the dress, sitting next to the chocolate bunny is the bunny I gave Victoria on her second Easter 17 years ago.

One of my tea tables.

I use a lot of tea things to decorate my home. I really miss my Tea Room, but to everything there is a season...

Here is the kitchen table. I used split peas to hide the stem of my faux daffodils. Don't you just love daffodils? To me, nothing says Spring like daffodils!

And this is my Easter tree. You may recognize Peter Rabbit and friends on here. When Victoria was a baby, I decorated her nursery with all things Peter Rabbit. I even painted a white picket fence, complete with ivy, morning glories and birds' nests around her room. The blue birds you see are part of my theme for this house. In our first home, every room had a cherub in it somewhere. It could have been in the form of a night light, or a little figurine, maybe something I cross stitched on a pillow. So for this house every room has a blue bird in it somewhere...I was going for that blue bird of happiness thing.

Well, I think that's all the pics I've got for now. I've been dealing with a lot of things to do with my Dad. I need to get in my studio and create something. I'll be back in a few days. Thank you so much for visiting with me.

Blessings~

Barb, this is so wonderful! I LOVE seeing how you decorate your home. You have such flair. Your decorations are so pretty. I love that you love lace and use it! Your flowers are gorgeous and everything has just the right feel to it.

LOL at the kids looking but not touching. I well remember telling my girls look with your eyes, not with your hands! *Ü*

I'm sorry to hear you are having to deal with issues with your dad. I hope things start going a little better there.
