Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge #43

Happy October! This is my favorite time of year. The weather has finally changed in my world. We were treated to a wonderful storm today...wind, rain, thunder, lightening. It was a spectacular display! So now I am looking forward to the upcoming holidays...It's going to be a bittersweet time, because I miss my dad so much. But at his memorial services, I was able to re-connect with some family members that I had not seen in years and they are all invited over for Thanksgiving dinner this year. We are very excited about this. Victoria and I are planning a "scrapbooking like crazy"day, so we can get things 'caught up' or at least almost current.

I played along with Sparkle and her Elves again. This weeks challenge is Tags. We could use tags on cards in general, or create tags for gifts or gift bags. I opted to make gift tags and here they are.

This was fun! I am still not feeling 100% and we have a huge garage sale planned for Saturday, so I'll keep my post short. Oh and you're going to want to make sure you are a follower of my blog because I am planning a special give-away just for my followers.

Thanks for the visit! Until next time...

Blessings~

Barb, you are right, it's going to be a bittersweet holiday season this year, but I'm so glad for you that you've reconnected with family and that they will surround you. You can all comfort each other.

I love all your tags! How fun! It's those little details that add so much to a gift presentation (and one I often neglect).

Hope your garage sale is a huge success. I also hope you don't do too much and have a relapse with your illness. Hugs!!

It is so nice you will have a big family dinner this year. Family makes things better.

Your tags are fabulous! I especially love the tree one in the middle.

Good luck on your Garage Sale. Those are a lot of work. Hope you are feeling 100% soon.

Your tags are lovely! I'm sure you will enjoy additional family at Thanksgiving; they will surely bring joy to the bittersweet celebration. I admire you for having a garage sale :)

I'm sure the upcoming holidays will be tough for you and your family, though they'll be made a bit sweeter having family around. I'm happy that you now have some 'new' family members to get to know. So often sad endings bring bright, new beginnings with them. I hope that proves to be the case here.

Your tags are all so beautiful, Barb! Your coloring of the trees on the large scalloped tag is so realistic (love the graceful shape of the scalloped tags too), and love how you sponged the edges to give the tags a rustic feel. They're all soooo pretty!

Hope you're feeling better and that your garage sale was very successful.

big hugs,
Christi
