Fall Mums

I am still working with my PTI Autumn Abundance set. I decided that I would choose a stamp set and create a card using each of the images from the set. You know, using what I have instead of whining for new stamps. You can see the first in this series HERE.  For this card, I stamped my image on SU! watercolor paper and colored the image with stamp pads and a waterbrush. This is my first time doing this technique... LOVE it! After the image was dry, I added some Martha Stewart glitter to the center of the flowers. I used Nesties to cut the focal and the mat and I added some half pearls to the scallops. The patterned paper is from the Porcelain Collection by Basic Grey.

As always, I thank you so much for visiting. Have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings~

Beautiful Barb! Soft and elegant.

You know, I read a blog post recently about how the market drives people to constantly buy, or show new stuff. The blogger wanted to occasionally go back and use stuff that might be retired and had gotten flack from some people about it. We live in such a consuming society, I think it is very refreshing to take what you already have and make it new again! (It's a challenge I've taken on for the most part, and while not always successful, I'm happy to attempt it)

Have a great weekend, my friend!

Barb, your card is gorgeous! Wow! Your watercoloring is superb! I am trying to use what I have too, but it is hard sometimes.

Have a great weekend!

I love the design and the soft colors. You did a great job. Are you sure you've never used that coloring technique before, because your example sure looks fab!
