Give Thanks

Hello everyone! It's a beautiful day in my neighborhood today! We had quite a bit of rain over the weekend, which was nice, and now it's cold and sunny! Ahhhh...Autumn. I have a card to share today. It's a reflection of the gratitude I feel in my heart. There may be a lot of problems in the world, but we still have plenty for which to be thankful.

Card Supplies:
stamp sets: Holiday Best(Stampin’ Up!)
card stock: Vintage Cream(Papertrey Ink) Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango(Stampin' Up!)
patterned paper: Traditions Floral Paisley(The Paper Studio)
ink: Antique Linen Distress Ink(Ranger)
accessories: Paisley embossing folder(Provo Craft), Filigree embossing powder(Papertrey Ink), Deckled Edge Rectangles(Spellbinders), ribbon(Memory Mare),Tiny Twinkles(Taylored Expressions)

The patterned paper is from our NEW Hobby Lobby! I like the store. But I expected a little more 'hobby' and a little less 'lobby'. LOL! I would say that 90% of the store is dedicated to home decor. There are some beautiful things in there but, I wanted to see more crafting items. Anywho...back to the card...I pulled out my Stampin' Up! basket of card stock for this one. I used some old 'In Colors'... Dusty Durango, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry...really nice colors for Autumn and they work so well with the patterned paper. I love it when that happens! I used a Paisley embossing folder on the Dusty Durango to echo the pattern in the paper. My sentiment is also from Stampin' Up!. I stamped it onto Vintage Cream card stock, using Versamark ink. I embossed it with gold embossing powder then die cut it with Deckled Edge Rectangles Nestabilities-(what a mouth-full!) I inked it with Antique Linen Distress ink while it was still in the die. I love the edge this die creates. I added some tiny twinkles to the 'berries' on the image, cuz ya know THIS girl has to have a little bling! And I used the last of my lovely Jonquil ribbon for the bow.

During this season of Thanks Giving, I want to thank each of you for joining me on this journey, for visiting my blogs and for leaving encouraging comments along the way.

Make it a good Monday!
Blessings~

Hello Barb! What a wonderful card and a heartfelt post. Love it! It's a great time to reflect on all that we are thankful for. I received your comment about my brother, thank you for that. I just returned home from Minnesota, helping get things in order and attending his service.

As for Hobby Lobby, I would agree with your assessment over all. BUT, keep your eye out for scrapping/cardmaking goodies because their prices are terrific on those!

Happy Thanksgiving! Big hugs!
