Love You Forever...

Hello Friends! Before February slips away, I wanted to show you the card and little giftie I made for my girls for Valentine's Day this year. If you've been following my blog for a while, you'll know that we celebrate holidays/occasions  BIG at our house. It just makes life fun in my opinion and there is always something to look forward to, not just the biggies...Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter.

It's neat for me to go back thru our scrapbook pages, where I can see how the cards and gifts for the girls have changed over the years. When they were 5 and 10, my cards were made with construction paper and lots of glitter and their gifts were mostly edible. Now that they are 15 and 20, their cards are more 'grown up', they still have glitter, cuz we LOOOVE sparkle at my house, and their gifts are more geared toward bath and beauty and music or scented candles. I knew they were going to grow up, but boy did they grow up fast. *sigh*

Here is what I did for them this year...

I created these cute little pockets using the diaper fold technique. Really quick and easy.

Oh, how well I know the feeling of kids growing up too fast...my oldest just turned 26! last week. It's sad to realize how quickly life is working us out of our beloved 'job,' but at the same time it's exciting to see them grow and mature into adults, and also to see how the parent/child relationship changes to include friendship as well. *BIG sigh*

Anyway....I LOVE the card and gift set you made for your girls. I'm sure they did too. ;)

big hugs,
Christi
