CAS2-Homework Day 1

Hello Friends! Today is the first day of the Clean and Simple Cardmaking 2 class. Fun news...I was randomly chosen to attend the class for FREE! Each of the teachers had a  "win a free spot in class" giveaway on their blogs. We just had to leave a comment to enter. I did and my name was chosen! Yay!  I was issued a refund, since I had already registered and paid for the class. Sooo I send out a great big THANK YOU to Julie Ebersole and everyone at Online Card Classes!

The lesson today focused on Craftsmanship. We were given three sketches to choose from for creating our card.

Just a nice little card to add to my stash. I used 120# card stock for my card base to give it some weight, since there are few embellishments and layers. The focal panel is adhered with dimensional adhesive. The butterfly was stamped onto patterned paper and die cut. I attached it with a mini glue dot and slightly lifted the wings. I stamped my greeting and scattered on a few gems to finish off the card.

materials used~
stamps:  Cocoa Bean Butterfly(Memory Box)  Baby Button Bits, Through the Trees(Papertrey Ink)
card stock: 80#, 120# White(GinaK Designs)
patterned paper: Sun Kiss Collection(Prima)
ink: Memento Rich Cocoa(Tsukineko)
dies: Cocoa Bean Butterfly(Memory Box)
punches: Scallop Trim Border(Stampin' Up!)
other: rhinestones(Stampin' Up!)

That's all I have for today. Thanks for dropping in!

Blessings~

Ooooh, lovely Barb! And congrats on winning a seat for the class. I'm pretty sure I saw your name in a list of winners yesterday and wondered if it indeed was you. Yay! I'm tickled pink to see that it was.

I'm sure you are going to do very well in class and learn so much! Enjoy!
