"WHITE OUT!"
Create an all white card. The only color being on the colored digital stamp. FUN. STUFF.
I chose to feature the Little Umbrella Boy. There is just something about umbrella images that tug at my heart strings. I loved going out in the rain when I was a young girl...boots, raincoat, big ol' umbrella.
I printed this little guy on Neenah Solar White card stock. I die cut the focal image with a Nestie and added just a hint of blue ink around the image, while it was still in the die. Next I did a bit of Copic coloring and some paper piecing. I also used layers of card stock under the umbrella to add dimension without using foam adhesive. I just stuck three pieces of card stock under the image, prior to cutting it out with micro tip scissors. This creates a 'chip board' effect and gives great, low profile dimension. After cutting, I went around the edges of the umbrella with a black Copic marker to create even more shadow. Then I covered the umbrella with embossing ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder to give it a wet look.

The focal image is mounted onto a double card stock panel that has been embossed with a rain texture plate. I also lightly covered this panel with embossing ink and sprinkled it with Iridescent Ice. This gave the card an overall wet look and a ton of sparkle. Using the iridescent glitter creates a 'rainbow' effect and I thought that would be a great on this rainy day card. I also die cut a few clouds from felt and added those with dimensional adhesive.

To finish my card, I rounded the bottom corners and added a sentiment
strip that I enhanced with clear dew drops. A nice and easy, clean and
simple card! I hope you join us in the challenge this week, you could win FREE digital stamps from the MelJen's Shop. Don't forget the entire Shop is ON SALE, no coupon code needed. AND...with each $10 purchase you get a chance to win a $50 MelJen's gift certificate.
