Sympathy Card....

Hello Friends! I hope you've all had nice weekends.  I have a sympathy card to share with you today. I can't stress enough how important it is to have these already made and on hand before you actually need them. This time, I heeded my own advice and made a few to keep in my stash.

I used the With Sympathy stamp set from Papertrey Ink.

I used soft colors with this one. I love the foliage flourish in this set. It is so versatile. After stamping the green leaves, I added the pink rose buds, which is a separate stamp. I love that! No masking or covering things with tape to get two different colors. The bitty butterfly is in the set as well, so it's the perfect scale for the other elements on the card. Lots of layers here...I used patterned paper and lots of card stock. The focal panel has been dusted with pink distress ink to soften the hard edges. Staying true to my sparkly style, I added subtle touches of bling...tiny pearls and organza ribbon. The sentiment is stamped in pearlescent ink, so it has a teensy sparkle, too.

The inside is finished off as well...

*Sigh* My dad used to say, "As you age, death really becomes more a part of life. Get used to it." I will never get used to people passing away...

Thanks for visiting me today. I appreciate you!

Blessings~

Thank you Barb, for sharing a beautiful sympathy card. It is both beautiful and serene. I really like that you stayed true to your style and added subtle glittery accents.

Yes, death is indeed a part of life, but that doesn't lessen the sorrow at someone's passing.

Hugs!

Barb, your card is serene and soothing. The colors work so well together. I love the butterflies both on the outside and inside of your card, Barb. I'm sure the recipient will find comfort in it.

What a beautiful card. It is so soft and pretty. And I agree about masking these before you actually need one.
