Thursday Challenge @ MelJen's!

Hello Friends! It's time for another Thursday Challenge on the MelJen's Designs Team blog! We are having an
EASTER EGG HUNT!!
use things found in an Easter basket on your creation
Please remember, you must use a MelJen's Designs image on your project in order to be included in the random drawing for FREE digital stamps.

Fun, right?! Yes! I "found" a Chocolate Bunny in my basket...

SUPER cute digital stamp here! I printed him onto my favorite white card stock, and colored him with Copics. I created a mask for the bunny and then inked in some clouds. I die cut an oval out of the yellow card stock and then die cut a frame out of white card stock and adhered that over the oval...make sense? The entire panel is mounted with dimensional tape onto brown card stock. Basically, I created a window and nothing shows on the inside of the card. I tucked in some vintage Easter grass (I've had this grass for over 20 years!) to give it an authentic Easter basket feel. And finally, I tied on a bitty bow, because my 16 year old said it needed one. While my 21 year old, attorney-to-be, argued that it did not, because the bunny was already wearing one. Well...you can see who won that argument.

Here is a peek at the inside panel....

I used three different stamp sets on here. Goodness! That tulip border is a Martha Stewart punch that I bought from Michael's a while back, it was on clearance for $5.00. I couldn't pass that up! This is the first time I've used it and it's really cute! It will be making a few more appearances during the Spring season.

I hope you can join us this week. I look forward to seeing what you 'find' in your Easter basket!

Thanks for visiting today! I appreciate it.

*I am entering this card into the 'ANYTHING GOES' challenge at Simon Says Stamp.*

Blessings~

Terrific card, Barb. It sure feels like an Easter basket with that bunny and grass. I like the yellow bow on the basket, too. Thanks for sharing your tips on how you created the window. Love it!

Gorgeous creation. The whole scene behind the bunny is fantastic. The basket look is super cool and I agree with the 16-year old, the basket totally needed a bow. :D
