Hello Friends! I made this card a while ago and was debating on whether or not I should share it here, but, I figured what the heck, so here it is. We all have that one friend, who drives us batty, right? You love them, but they still make you crazy! This card is for one of my friends who falls into that category.
To create my card, I used products included in the October 2014 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. You can see those items by clicking HERE.
And here is my whimsical card...
Pretty goofy, huh? The friend I sent it to is sure to get a kick out of it. I used some whacky patterned paper to perpetuate the crazy on this card. I adhered that to a white card base and then built up my layers. For the focal panel, I die cut a piece of white card stock with the Simon Says Stamp Postage Stamp Edge Frames die. Then I stamped the coffee mug and colored the "coffee" with Copic markers and added Glossy Accents. I also stamped the mug onto a piece of coordinating patterned paper and fussy cut that out. I stamped on the mouth and colored the tongue with a Copic marker. After I paper pieced the mug, I added the goggly eyes. I stamped the greeting onto patterned paper with brown ink and cut that out. Next, I adhered the focal to the black matting that I die cut with the postage edge dies and mounted that onto the card base with dimensional adhesive. I added the speech bubble and some yummy sequins to finish the card.
I decorated the inside, as well...
I paper pieced this mug too. The coffee is also colored with Copic markers and covered in Glossy Accents. After adhering everything down, I stamped the sentiment with brown ink and added the 'steam' with khaki ink. I used another piece of that whacky patterned paper to tie everything together.
