Days 19 and 20 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

Hello Friends! Today's color share is a 2fer. Haha! I started the coloring on Day 19 and finished it up on Day 20. Let's get right to it.

Here is my cast of characters for these two days.

I seem to be stuck on my Copic markers for now. I wanted to use them to color the cute little eggs in this Spring Baskets stamp set from Waltzingmouse. I haven't pulled this one out in a long time! I just love the baskets and all the fillers. Don't be surprised if I use this set again for Day 21!

Day 19 - I stamped my images onto smooth white card stock with Memento Espresso Truffle ink. Because I was planning to use lighter shades for my coloring, I went with a dark brown ink, rather than black. And then I colored up these little eggs! I only used two shades of each marker family to create the shading.

I colored one egg with a gold Wink of Stella glitter brush. I had something special planned for the inside of the card. But, it would have to wait because it was time to go to bed!

Day 20 - After I finished coloring the basket, I added a strip of patterned paper, that I die cut with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border die. I colored a few extra eggs, so I adhered them onto the panel, as well. Then I stamped the greeting, which is also from the Spring Baskets stamp set. And finally, using dimensional adhesive, I mounted the focal panel onto my card base. This is a 4 bar card. :)

I really like the stitching detail of the Stitched Dies from Simon Says Stamp. It finishes off the card nicely without a lot of fuss. Then it was on to the inside of the card...

I used the Stitched Rectangle die to die cut a panel for the inside, too. The sentiment on the inside is the reason I colored one egg gold! I'm sending this card to an eggstra special friend. Just a note here: All of the pink patterned paper is from the Let's Polka 6 x 6 paper pad from Lawn Fawn and they do match beautifully. One picture was taken in natural light and the other with my daylight lamp.

And that is it for Days 19 and 20. Thank you so much for visiting me today! I hope you had a wonderful Monday.

See you tomorrow for Day 21!

Blessings~

Oh golly, Barb, this is the sweetest! I adore your colorful eggs in their basket. The one gold one is so very sparkly! Your coloring is wonderful and your card design terrific. I have long admired your ability to finish off the card on the inside! Those sweet little butterflies are a perfect addition. Excellent work! Or should I say "eggs"ellent? :)

Your egg filled basket is super special. I love the simplicity of the second card.
