Hello Friends! Happy Friday! I wanted to share something related to Christmas in July before July was over! I've been super busy with projects and just couldn't fit a card into my schedule, so I went through my hard drive and found this little guy. I create a lot of cards and projects that I don't share here on my blog. Mostly because of time constraints. As you know, posting is time consuming! Anyway, enough chatter, on to the card...
Many of you know that I have a soft spot in my heart for MelJen's Designs. I was on the design team and I just loved it! So for my share today, I decided to use one of the images that Melissa, the owner and artist behind MelJen's Designs, drew after I requested a snowman cupcake.
He's a real cutie! I printed him onto my card stock and colored him with Copic markers. I paper pieced the cupcake liner and band on his hat. I've added tiny twinkles to the holly berries, too. I mounted him onto my card base with dimensional adhesive. I added sparkling, glitter covered punched snowflakes and a sentiment circle with a few rhinestones to finish it off.
If any of you are MelJen's fans, I want to let you know that Melissa has a shop on Etsy. You can access that HERE. She has all of her digis for sale and they are on CD's. BUT...she is going to be closing that chapter of her design life really soon, so if there are images that you've been wanting, buzz on over before they are no longer available. If you do stop by, tell her I sent you!
That's all I have for today. Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings~

I'm not shy at asking fabulous illustrators what to sketch next! But a snowman in a cupcake now that's an over the top request! What an adorable idea Barb! This is a stuning card utilizing a stash of Designer Paper which I like to do especially with Christmas Cards! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Don't these cards just put you in the mood! Nicely done!
How absolutely adorable!! Love your little snowman cupcake, and your coloring is fabulous!! I'm a sucker for snowmen, and this guy is a definite cutey!!
Oh, Barb, this little snowman cupcake is just the sweetest and most adorable! I too love snowmen (still even after living in South Florida for more than 25 years...just love them from afar...haha!). And what beautiful coloring and a fabulous layout with strip of DP and the swiss dot embossing! Stunning card, sweet friend! Yes, not too early to be working on Christmas already! Hugs!
