Cards for Kids - Darling Dalmatians

Hello Friends! I am so pleased that you all are enjoying the Cards for Kids! I see a lot of views in my stats! If you stop by, please say hello!

Today cards feature more cuteness from MelJen's Designs. I used the Darling Dalmatian digi.

I love this image so much, I decided to create two. I printed my images onto smooth white card stock and die cut them with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die. I really, really love these dies! I reach for them all the time and I know I need to move on, but I can't yet. LoL! Please bear with me. Anyway, I colored the images with Copic markers. I also created a mask for them so I could sponge on  some clouds. To finish the cards, I added a few touches of clear Stardust pen to the hydrant and Crystal Effects to the little heart and his nose. The focal images are mounted onto the card base with dimensional adhesive.

On my monitor, my photos are blurry! I apologize if they are on yours, as well. I have no idea why. When I look at them in my picture folder, they are crystal clear. Ack!

Thanks for visiting today. I appreciate it. I hope your Tuesday is terrific!

Blessings~

A dynamite duo for sure, Barb! I, for one, am really enjoying this series of cards. It shows, or rather, reminds us that we don't necessarily need to add a lot of extra frou frou to have a wonderful card. I can imagine a young person delighting in this card. Wonderfully colored. I have to ask why you think you should move on from the stitched rectangle die? I think it is a classic and well worth using if you are enjoying it. Have a fabulous week!

I'm with Jeanne --I love the look of any stitched dies {though I've yet to break down and buy one since I have sooooo many of the regular ones *sigh*}, and the rectangle is usually the perfect choice for larger images like the ones you've been showcasing on your cards lately. Don't give it another thought --we love what you're doing, Barb! And even if we weren't, just go with the saying, "Those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter." ;P

This cute little pup is sure make any child smile. So sweet. And I think you've elevated yourself to the "master" level when it comes to clouds. ;) Another beautifully colored card.

Enjoy your day,
Christi
