Hello Friends! Well, we made it to Day 30! Whoooo Hoooo! I am officially caught up! You're getting two posts today, because I am going to be super-de-dooper-busy for the next few days.
Because I am so very appreciative to Kathy Racoosin for hosting the 30 Day Coloring challenge and I'm also very thankful for all of you, who traveled with me on this 30 day coloring journey, I thought it fitting to create a Thank You card.
AND...I am submitting this card into the DT call at Stamping Smiles Designs. They have issued a tic-tac-toe challenge. Here's the board:
I chose the middle row: Leaves. Embossing. Sparkles. I started my project by die cutting some Stitched Leaves using a Lawn Fawn die set. I also selected my Distress Inks.
I set them aside to dry and worked on my focal panel and card base. For the focal panel, I random stamped more leaves and a bit of text onto a piece of vanilla card stock. Then I inked the edges. I created a standard A2 top folding card base with Kraft, and I inked those edges, as well. Then, I adhered several of the inked leaves onto the stamped vanilla piece and embossed it with a textured embossing folder. I really like the look of that. It makes people go, "How'd she do that?" Next, I adhered the focal panel onto my card base, using foam tape. I embossed a greeting onto an inked piece of Kraft and glued that to the focal panel, then finished it off with one of the inked leaves. My finishing touches included, going over each leaf with a Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush and adding a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
And that is that! As usual, I really enjoyed the coloring challenge. I learn something new each time I participate and I always come away with new crafty friends. I'm already looking forward to the next one! Thank you again Kathy for hosting, you're the best!
Blessings~

Then, I got inky! Using the daubers made this part quick, fun and easy.

I LOVE this! Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
This is gorgeous, Barb! I adore your colored leaves. Then adhering them to the cardstock before running it through with the embossing folder is so very clever! What an awesome look! I'm definitely going to have to try this. I'm so glad that you share what you create. Your work is very inspiring! Thank you so much for this month of beautiful eye candy. I truly hope your eyes have recovered from earlier. Big huge hugs to you!
Oh you're such a sweetheart! I need to get some Thank You cards out to her and more as well! Wish my Christmas Card project was finished so I can get back to just foolin' around! Love the leaves, we're no stranger to gorgeous leaves just like this in Vermont! Hugs!
Oh, Barb, now this is a true grand finale! Wow, do I love this autumn card, and what beautiful leaves! I love the colors you've used to sponge them, and I love how you've added them to the background and embossed it - yes, "wow, how did she do that?" is a definite response to this card! It's gorgeous! Congratulations on finished the course - all 30 days! I hope next time I can participate. I should plan to have my images ready to go. Hugs, my friend, and thanks for sharing your journey with us! It's been a joy!
Wow, Barb! This Autumn card is absolutely gorgeous! Those leaves are beautifully sponged! I love, LOVE how you dry embossed the leaves by adhering them first to your background panel & running them through the embossing machine. Genius! LOVE that look! I definitely have to try that! Thanks so much for your interest and applying for my Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Design Team Call! Have a wonderful day!
Oh, Barbara, your leaves are just gorgeous! What a beautiful card, just begs to be touched with all that dimension and texture. Also, I've had a wonderful time scrolling through your posts for the 30 day coloring challenge. So much fun and so many fabulous samples!
