Share Handmade Kindness - Easy Breezy Coneflowers

Hello Friends! And happy Wednesday! We are mid-week and staring Thanksgiving right in the face! I can't believe how quickly November is moving. I still want to color pumpkins and scarecrows, sunflowers and hay bales! But Christmas is calling!

Well, for today's card share I used another Power Poppy digi and I created another card to send off in the spirit of sharing handmade kindness. Please click on the photos to enlarge them.

I used the sweet Easy Breezy Coneflower set. I printed the image onto a piece of smooth white card stock that had been die cut with a stitched rectangle die. Then I colored it in, using my Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils. I have been on the road with my daughter for the last several weeks and colored pencils have become my go-to coloring medium. They are no muss, no fuss and when it's time to clean up and move on, I don't have to worry about things that need to dry or might smear, etc. More about the "on the road" comment coming up in a later post.

After I finished coloring, I went around the flowers with a pale blue Copic marker to add a little shadow. Then I went over each petal with a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush. I added a few sparkly butterflies and a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh sequins to finish it off. I flush mounted the focal panel onto my card base and that was it.

I finished the inside, as well. I used the sentiment from Sunflower Power, another Power Poppy set.

And since I had already made a stack of envelopes, I grabbed one that coordinated and this little card is ready to be sent off to another friend!

**I am entering this card into the EMBELLISH THIS challenge at Power Poppy.**

Thank you for stopping by today! I appreciate you!

Blessings~

Gorgeous, Barb! I think you and those pencils have a beautiful relationship. You coloring is fantastic. I like adding that bit of blue for the shadow. And I completely love the addition of the little gold butterflies. Be still my heart. Gorgeous card. Looking forward to hearing about being on the road. Sounds like an exciting adventure. :) Barb, I forgot to mention in my comment on your previous beautiful sunflower card that the recipients sure are lucky to receive such beautiful cards. Thank you so very much for sharing!
