Hello Friends! Happy Monday! Lots of people dread Monday, not me! I look at it with the anticipation of having a whoooole new week to play! And today, I am sharing the newest re-mixed digi I had the pleasure of playing with for the last few days. It's called Well Hello Dahlia and she's a beauty! Take a look...
Marcy has given us THREE beautiful images along with two sweet sentiments in this set. I like that we have a choice between having one vase or up to three vases of gorgeous dahlias to color. I was so excited when I saw this set, I actually giggled out loud and started clapping. The sentiments, a play on Hello Dolly, immediately warmed my heart and brought back childhood memories of hearing Louis Armstrong sing and play his horn.
My card...please click on the photos to enlarge them.
I kept things nice and simple and colored the image with Polychromos colored pencils. Then, I added a very pale blue outline with a Copic marker. I printed the image onto Cryogen White Iridescent card stock, so it's very sparkly. I coated one vase with Crystal Effects.
Putting a shine on only one vase was my daughter's idea.-She told me to let you all know that. :) Anyway...to finish off the card, I tied on some Pink Lemonade hemp cord from Lawn Fawn and sprinkled on a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins. I adhered fun foam onto the back of the focal panel and mounted that onto my card base. And that was that!
Please take a moment to visit the Power Poppy blog to see what my team mates have created to share with you.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Blessings~

Gorgeous! Your work is always impeccable, Barb and I giggle and smile with delight everytime I see a new post from you. You've colored your "dollys" beautiful and tell your sweet daughter her suggestion worked beautifully. Lovely new set and I've got Hello Dolly zinging through my head now. It's making me happy, too. Big hugs!!
Good Monday morning, sweet Barb, and I love your take on Mondays - it's fabulous! Well, hello there! I love your beautiful card and love the soft colors of your flowers. And your daughter was right about adding shine to one of them. Beautifully done, sweet friend, and have wonderful week! Hugs!
I think your daughter has an artists eye! The shine on the front vase is awesome - I've been studying it! And the hand-thrown look of the bigger vase lends itself to a matte finish. The flowers are amazing (as always). Love your work!!!
Sweet, Sweet, Sweet!! Love the yellow vases and how they tie in with the soft little yellow touches to the Dahlias Barb!! Your card just oozes happiness and charm!!
This is such a pretty card, Barb. You've created magic with the flowers!
So soft and beautiful Barb. I just love the shine too.
So soft and beautiful. Thanks!
