Power Poppy ~ Plant Kindness

Hello, Friends! Happy Cinco de Mayo! Who is celebrating this weekend? I am! Mexican food is my favorite and my friend told me about a new restaurant in town so I'm planning to go there and get my fill of chips, salsa and guacamole!

Sooo, it's the 5th of May and Marcella has given us a doozie of a digi to kick off this month. It's called Plant Kindness and it's perfect for the merry, merry month of May.

Here's what Marcella has to say about this sweet set.."Flower-filled seed packs and heirloom plant listings, rosy-faced journals and calico garden gloves — these are a few of MY favorite things! Color up this cheery gardening vignette for a quick card and plant a little kindness along the way!"

Now, let's take a look at what I did with this set...

I decided to give my Copic markers a little workout. The image is printed onto Cryogen Iridescent White card stock and I did quick and simple coloring. There's a lot going on in this vignette! It was super fun to color. I paired it with a piece of farm themed patterned paper from the BasicGrey Picadilly Collection. If you look closely, you can see carrot tops, a rooster, fruit trees and more! I think it gives the entire card a whimsical feel. The sentiment is also included in the digi set and it's printed on the same card stock and die cut. Both pieces have a bit of Antique Linen Distress ink sponged around the edges. To finish the card off, I added a few Sparkling Clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins and a heart, that I coated with Crystal Effects.

That's it for me. Please visit the Power Poppy blog to see what my Teammates have created to share with you.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend.

Blessings~
