Power Poppy ~ Season's Seatings

Hello, Friends! Happy Autumn! Well, even though the calender says the Autumnal Equinox is upon is, it's still hot as Hades in my neck of the woods...hopefully Fall will show up soon but, until it does, I have a really sweet new Power Poppy digi set to share with you. It's called Season's Seatings and it just screams Autumn!

Here is what Marcella shares about her newest illustration...

"We love any scene that exudes cozy fall goodness — a secondhand chair in the garden?  Of course! It's the ideal perch for a rustic pumpkin bouquet. You may recognize this image from our popular clear stamp set "So Grateful". What's especially neat about this digital download version is that you get two focal images, one of the large chair vignette, and a second large image of the pumpkin bouquet by itself, featuring with dahlias, berries, and Black-eyed Susans. The verse from Ecclesiastes, "He has made everything beautiful in its time" is the perfect accompaniment, and you'll also get a shorter "Hello, Beauty" sentiment. A coloring feast awaits!"

I absolutely adore this set. I love coloring pumpkins and this set gives me two opportunities to do just that. I am over the moon excited about having that flower filled pumpkin standing alone AND in digital format. The uses for this image are almost endless...Not only can one make a beautiful card with it but, it can be resized to make place cards for the Thanksgiving table, it can be enlarged and used to decorate a gift bag or made into a tag for a hostess gift. It can even be made into a lovely pin to adorn a sweater or scarf.

My first card features the pumpkin...

I printed this beauty onto a piece of Papertrey Ink's Rustic Cream card stock. I colored it up with a combination of Copic markers and Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils. And of course, I gave it lots of sparkle and shimmer using my Clear Wink of Stella and a Stardust Gelly Roll pen. I added few gold sequins and some thin strips of gold card stock for even more sparkle! This was such a fun image to color! I used the Small Dotted Square Stackables die from Lawn Fawn to die cut my image.

And for my second card, I used the chair...

This was soooo much fun to color! I printed it onto a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth Vellum Surface paper and again, I colored with a combination of Copic markers and Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils. I fussy cut the image out and adhered it onto a piece of Lawn Fawn's Water Color Wishes patterned paper. That wasn't my original plan. I created a focal panel with the chair and sentiment but, I botched the thing up by adding waaaaaay too many dots around the pumpkin. It looked ridiculous so rather than starting over, I fussy cut the image and sentiment out and went on my merry way! LoL! I like the way it turned out but, I do plan to go back and create my original idea. The pretty pumpkin got a coating of Clear Wink of Stella and I added a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh sequins to finish it off.

That's it for me today. I thank you for stopping by. Please take a moment to visit the Power Poppy blog to see what my team mates have created to share with you.

Have a wonderful week!

Blessings~

Sweet Barb, what gorgeous cards! I love both of these images, and your coloring is beautiful! Love the layouts and always love how you beautifully use sequins for the final touches. Stunning cards, and I know you will enjoy making the card you had in mind originally. However, this is one gorgeous!! Hugs! xoxo
