Hello, Friends! I'm here today to share a new digi set from Power Poppy. It's as cute as can be, it's called Trumpet Vine Visitor and it features a really sweet little hummingbird. Take a look...
Pretty cute, huh?! I like that the elements are in a cluster and also individual. That makes this set REALLY versatile. This is what Marcella had to say about her newest illustration...
"Happy trails are guaranteed with our trailing trumpet vine and hummingbird. Whether you start with the composite image of the bird and blooms, or create your own scene digitally with the individual components, this set promises to bring joy! Includes one sentiment and 4 images, all in black and no-line versions."
I printed the image onto a die cut piece of Strathmore Bristol Vellum Surface paper and I colored it with Faber-Castell Polychromos I really like the texture on that paper, it grabs pigment nicely and allows for lots of layers and blending. I had a ball coloring that hummingbird. He's got a coat of Clear Wink of Stella on his wings, too. And it doesn't show very well on camera but, the Kraft card stock has a subtle leaf texture that I added with a Fiskars texture plate. I added a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh sequins for even more sparkle. The "thinking of you" is also from Power Poppy, in the Sunny Harvest clear stamp set. All card stock is from Gina K Designs.
That's it for me today. Please buzz on over to the Power Poppy blog to see what my team mates have created to share with you. You will not be disappointed! They are soooo very creative!
Blessings~

I decided to go with the composite image.
I printed the image onto a die cut piece of Strathmore Bristol Vellum Surface paper and I colored it with Faber-Castell Polychromos I really like the texture on that paper, it grabs pigment nicely and allows for lots of layers and blending. And for the inside of the card, I used the leafy branch and the sentiment.
Super fun images to color and super fun card to make!

Delightful and charming is what this is, Barb! Colored beautifully, too. What an amazing looking hummingbird. You are so very talented at coloring with those pencils. Thank you SO much for sharing! Hugs!
Love your beautiful card! Wonderful coloring! Thanks for sharing.
Great card!
Great paper choice to highlight your pencil coloring. Love the texture.
Barb, what a gorgeous card! I love your coloring and love how you've colored your hummer! Such sweetness! Beautifully framed with the craft with the blue mat to bring out the hummer, and I love the gingham checked DP! What a precious way to finish the inside and use that single leaf branch. Brilliant! Stunning card, my friend! Hugs! xoxo
