Power Poppy ~ Vital Rose

Hello, Friends! It's been a while. Life...you know. So today, I have a new Power Poppy digi to share with you. It's called Vital Rose and it's a beauty!

Here's what Marcella has to say about this gorgeous illustration...

"A large single rose opens up to welcome all that life has to offer. With lots of room to shade the petals, you can be as loose or as detailed as you'd like in your coloring, and still come away with a dramatic final piece. Available solo or with poetic words hand-lettered and winding around the petals. Includes no-line versions, too!"

Just LOOK at that big ol' bloom! Soooo many coloring options here. I used Prismacolor colored pencils on my rose and I used the version with no text because I wanted to color on this text paper from Stampin' Up! After I colored my image, I dusted a little Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges.

The coloring is very soft, very feminine and has a bit of a vintage vibe. I like it. I didn't add any greeting or sentiment to the card because I'm not quite sure how I will use it. Here's a little insider secret: Nothing is adhered in place. The focal image, the sequins, nothing. I actually haven't decided on what the final card will look like! Should I keep the focal at an angle or should I square it up with the card base? Should I add a sentiment? And what about those sequins? Yay or nay? Decisions, decisions, decisions....

That's it for me today. Thanks for stopping by! Have a good one!

Blessings~

Gorgeous! Your printing on the text paper is really neat. Your coloring is beautiful and the placement of all your embellies looks fabulous to me. I say, stick 'er down as is. Really, it's so beautiful. You are such a talent!

Barbara, this is oh-so-beautiful! I adore the way you've stamped it onto the text paper...such a soft, vintage look! I like the angle! I never think to do angles, and this one really works here! Gorgeous card just the way you've laid it out!
