Hello, Friends! Today each of the participating design team members is featuring their favorite Christmas stamp set. When I thought about this one, I was completely overwhelmed because I have soooooo many favorites. But if I can only choose ONE, it would be, Wreaths Plain and Fancy. I absolutely LOVE wreath stamp sets. I don't even know why! But, I have several in my collection. The Power Poppy set is definitely my favorite in the bunch. Do you remember this one?
The set has two beautiful wreaths and lots of accessories and greetings to put in the center. It's such a cute idea and the little candle, deer and church are so adorable! Here's how I used it...
I used my MISTI to stamp the image with Peeled Paint Distress ink. I
stamped it onto watercolor paper and using a damp paint brush, I did a
bit of watercoloring. Then I stamped the image again with Pine Needles
ink and I did a little more watercoloring. I just pulled the color from
the stamped ink, going over the stamped lines very lightly.
Then I added the little candle...
I used the same watercolor technique for the candle. And for the bow, I scribbled Worn Lipstick Distress ink onto an acrylic block, picked the ink up with a damp paint brush and watercolored with it. To finish off the image, I colored the berries with Festive Berries and Fired Brick Distress inks and blended them with a Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush. Then I coated the berries and the candle flame with Crystal Effects to add dimension and shine.
Next, using the word, PEACE from the Botanical Tree clear set, I stamped it out with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Ranger's Liquid Platinum embossing powder.
This set is so versatile! On this card panel, I embossed the wreath in gold and watercolored it using a combination of
Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and Distress Markers. Then I added red
Stickles on the berries.
And that's all I have to share with you today. I hope you enjoyed seeing how I've used my favorite Christmas set. Now it's time to buzz over to the Power Poppy blog to be inspired by my team mates. I hop over there myself to see what their favorite sets are, too!
Thank you so much for stopping by! I appreciate the visit. Have a restful Sunday.
Blessings~

The font used for PEACE is just so pretty! And it looks radiant embossed in platinum.

And it's even pretty with no coloring at all! I whipped up a batch of these very quickly. You can see that this is a well loved set!
