Hello, Friends! Happy Friday to ya! I hope that 2020 has been treating you nicely so far. It's definitely off to a running start for me. This is going to be a busy year for my family and me and I know it's going to fly by! I'm determined to enjoy the journey and not just focus on the destination.
FOCUS is my word for 2020!
So, let's focus on today's post.. Marcella has added a few new hearts to her Follow Your Heart digi set. And I am soooo glad she did! I love all of them but today, I am showcasing the hydrangea heart.
My card...
I printed my image onto a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper and water colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The camera doesn't capture the sparkle on this one and that is unfortunate because it is SUPER sparkly! I used the "Happy Birthday to You" sentiment from the Tulips in Hobnail Pitcher digi set. I just love that font! After I finished water coloring, I die cut the image using a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Square die. While the panel was still in the die, I dusted around the image with Broken China and Weathered Wood Distress Inks, then I adhered it with foam tape onto a piece of Lawn Fawn's Watercolor Wishes paper. I finished off the card by sprinkling on a few Pretty Pink Posh Crystal Clear sequins.
So, that's it for me today. Thank you so much for stopping by! Please take a moment to buzz on over to the Power Poppy blog to see what my team mates have created to share with you.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings~

Such a pretty heart, Barb and it's colored beautifully. I'm so glad you are doing well and enjoying life! Big hugs to you. I'm always happy when I see one of your creations. :)
Your designs are one of my favorite on Power Poppy. I have saved many of them and this card will also go into a saved file. I love the soft dreamy look to it all achieved with colors.
Wow, this is dreamy Barbara! Such beautiful shades of purple and you’ve captured the delicate feel of hydrangea petals!
Now I have to have this set too! Seriously amazing, Barb.
This is stunning!!
I love this beautiful coloured heart and even without showing the sparkle it is so stunning, I love it.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful piece of art and wishing you and your family also a wonderful weekend.
Barbara, your card is gorgeous! I love your choice - I had already decided I couldn't possibly do this flower justice - but you are so inspiring! My choice would be the daisy (black eyed susans, cone flower, or whatever they are called!). I really love the way you used the color!
