Friday Fun with Power Poppy~Forest Fellas-Finnian Fox

Hello, Friends! Happy Friday! I'm here today sharing another card I created featuring the Power Poppy Forest Fellas clear stamp set. Each of the critters from this set is available individually in digital format. If digis are your thing, click HERE

For today's card I chose to spot light, Finnian Fox. Soooo adorable! Again, I used the clear stamp set but here's a gander at the digi set...It's cute, right?! And it includes some really nice sentiments, too. Digi sets are great. They are very versatile and they take up zero space in your crafting area since they live inside your computer. These files are available for immediate download which means you could be coloring Finnian in a matter of minutes after your purchase. If you are new to using digital images, there is a tutorial HERE for you to view. And there are many, many more tutorials on YouTube.

Okay...let's get on to the card for today! I started out by stamping Finnian onto a piece of **Taylored Expressions Sugar Cube card stock, using **Taylored Expressions Oreo ink. Both are Copic friendly so I decided to dust off my very neglected Copic markers to color this guy. Let me just say here, I'm a bit rusty with my Copics. But I had fun coloring and that's really what matters, right? And now, here's Finnian Fox...

For my card design, I used Mojo Monday Sketch 429. I haven't used sketches in while, either. I'll tell ya what though, it was nice not having to think about card design. I just selected my papers and started cutting. Speaking of papers, I used more of the gorgeous patterned papers from my January Club Echo Park kit. I am REALLY lovin' that kit. I keep it right on my craft table and I'm constantly dipping into it.

So, after I finished coloring my image, I die cut it and with the image still in the die, I brushed around the edges with Stormy Sky Distress Oxide ink. I like how that gives a little extra color but keeps a clean white border. I assembled all of the card pieces and I added a tiny bit of sparkle by layering on a few Love From Lizi Peel Offs. Then, I adhered my focal panel, added a sentiment circle and some snowflake stickers and my card was finished.

A few of my Bloom Brigade Design Team Mates have projects to share with you. Please take a moment to visit them and say Hi!

Awww this is very fun! Mr Finnian is a dapper fox and looks great on his skiis. You did a great job coloring and that ink blending on the edges of the circle looks wonderful. I'm getting more comfortable with sketches and you are right, it is nice not to have to think about card design. So good to see you creating! I hope you and your family are doing well. Hugs!

Barb, I am inspired by this post and I think I am going to take a lesson from you and just continue to create as usual until we hear differently from our leader. I think that your Copic coloring is spot on and I love this Funnian Fox used like this. I enjoyed this post.

That such fun paper to pair with this cutie. I really need to get him out and give him some colour before the winter is over.
