I live in a sweet little cottage in sunny California. I like going to the beach, listening to music and visiting Wine Country. I absolutely LOVE going to Disneyland and would decorate my entire house with all things Disney, but...I don't think The Hubs would share my enthusiasm. LoL!
Now that I'm all finished with home schooling, I spend my days buzzing around The Hive, aka my studio. My passion is card making, but I also enjoy scrapbooking, both digital and traditional. I crochet and knit a bit, too.
Here's a little peek at The Hive...

About fifteen years ago, I discovered card making and I fell in love with it! I would say my card making style is a bit eclectic. I enjoy trying new things. Sometimes I create clean and simple cards and sometimes, I pile on the layers! One thing is consistent on each of my cards though; sparkle and bling. No card leaves The Hive without some sort of sparkle, even on masculine cards.
I enjoy sharing my love of card making with others and that is why I have this blog. I hope you visit again soon and visit often. If you stop by...please leave a comment and say hello. I'll be sure to return the favor.
Blessings to you~
QueenB.

How did I never see this before, Barb? I love what you have shared here. I learned a few new things about you and got to see a bit of where the magic happens. I love your poster, too! Thanks for the sweet peek into your crafty life! :)
Your Hive is fantastic, Barb! I enjoyed your well-written bio about your creative history! Hugs, Darnell
I enjoy receiving and reading your blog and love seeing your creations. I am thoroughly loving the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Is there an on-line class you would recommend for learning to color like you do? Also, awhile back I thought you posted a card with an umbrella. Could you please tell me the manufacturer of the stamp and die set? Thank you!
Found you through Power Poppy, love your work!
I too love card making...Have a great day!
I so enjoyed reading your story. I also have been a crafter for a long time. I have switched from cross-stitch(eyes getting bad) to card-making and coloring. I think it started with home-ec class in high school. I have found a great avenue for the card-making - I teach a class at the Cancer Wellness section of a local hospital. It is so much more than just the craft, it is a way for the ladies to have a break from what they are going thru. Bless you. dot
Power Poppy brought me to your blog. I love your bio!!!!! The hive is adorable. I use to say I am new to crafting, but it is 9 years since I started. I stopped working and needed to find a hobby to occupy my time. Scrap booking seemed like the obvious choice except after a couple of classes I learned that I didn't like it, and then card making with Stamping Up was introduced to me. I was a hobbyist for 8 years. In the last two years I have grown as a crafter into other areas. I ❤️ this world. It is the happiest I have ever been. I look forward to following you now that I have found you. Thank you for sharing your gifts with the world! LA
What a nice story. Love reading your blog. Will definitely be back. It's fun to see how others started out in card making!
So nice to meet you Barbara. I adore your card making skills. Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring.
I just discovered you and your wonderful cardmaking. I am in love with your style, as mine is close to uours. I am retired from medical/business field. I discovered cardmaking when introduced to Close to My Heart. Fell in love and 18 years later still in love. I work part time and my time is not as I would like it. However, I am so inspired my many of you talented ladies. I will continually follow you when I can.
