Out for Tea Shadow Box Card

Here is the card I worked on today. This is another one of those stamps that sat unused for years. A loooong time ago, I used to host Teas in my home, so I have quite a collection of teatime stamps. I know the shadow box card is a bit passe', but I thought that it was the perfect showcase for this particular stamp. It doesn't show real well in the photo, but the background is sponged lightly in blue and I sponged around the oval opening with green, to give it more depth. I colored this with CTMH watercolor pencils and used the Dove Blender pen that Kathi recommends. If you haven't been to her blog, check it out, she is a master with that blender pen! Anyway, I had forgotten how fun it is to just sit and color. Click on the photo to enlarge it.

absolutely L-O-V-E IT! I've been MIA, tried going back to my "day job" but my sitter's not the most reliable person unfortunately. Anyhoo - just wanted to drop you a line, I'll be lurking around (:
