I needed to create a simple, but nice set of monogramed cards for a workshop I am having next month. I decided to dig thru my stash and pull out some old favorites. I've said it before and I'll say here again, I would wallpaper my house with Silhouette. LOVE LOVE LOVE these papers. The cards are self explanatory. I mixed and matched the patterns to suit my taste, stamped my inital on Colonial White CS, matted it with black and popped it up with a pop dot. I decided to add a touch of berry for drama. I think the ladies will like them. I feel that I accomplished what I set out to do...Make a pretty simple monogramed card. Click to enlarge.
Supplies-All CTMH. Others noted. Paper and cardstock:Silhouette level 2. Stamp:Baroque Alphabet. Ink:Vineyard Berry. Other:Flower(Prima). jewel and ribbon from my stash. Corner rounder(EK Success).
I really like the pink and chocolate combo in More to Adore, so I made a few of those, too. I used three of the card ideas from PTI's Holiday Cards 101, that I mentioned in my previous post. I used Christmas Snowfall Wishes, Festive Trees, and Warm Winter Wishes. The card ideas are so versatile and easy to make. I did a little clear embossing on one, using CTMH's Clear ink pad and Clear EP. I used my Coluzzle to make the circles for the monogram and then adhered it to the scallop with a pop dot. On the embossed card, I also used my Scor-Pal to score a frame around the DP. My camera sees the chocolate ribbon as black for some reason. Click on the image to enlarge it.
