For You Gift Tag

Whenever I give a crocheted item as a gift, I always like to give the recipient a little card telling them what type of yarn was used to create their gift and also give them some care instructions. I wanted to do the same with my knitted gifts and so I made these. They were super simple. I needed something cute but easy to mass produce. I colored the image with Prisma pencils and used the Prisma blending pencil to soften the edges. The finished card is 3.5 x 3.5, a good size for including all the important info. I may even include a small photo of the gift, so the recipient remembers which card belongs to which item.

Supplies-Cardstock:Certainly Celery,Pretty in Pink(SU!). Stampers Select White(PTI). Paper:Lily Kate(Basic Grey). Stamps:Yarn Basket(Lockhart Stamp Co). Say It In Style(CTMH). Ink:Garden Green(CTMH). Memento Tuxedo Black(Tsukineko). Other:Square Nestabilities(Spellbinders). Colored pencils(Prisma). Scor-Pal. Yarn from my stash.

Thanks for visiting!

I love these cards, Barb! Your coloring is wonderful. The yarn ball look like you could reach into the basket and pick one out!! The little yarn bows are perfect. TFS!!

What a great idea, Barb! Cute cards too. I'm sure the recipients appreciated this extra special touch in addition to the actual gift. I really love how you added the yarn as an accent to the cards.
