Hello everyone! It has been a very busy week for me. Just when I thought I would have time to spend with all of you, something else cropped up. We are still working with Daddy and trying to get him settled into his new lifestyle. It's not working too well so we are thinking about bringing him home to live with us for a while and hire a 24 hour care-giver for him. I know he would be happy and I would sleep better at night knowing that he is being well cared for and also just right down stairs.
Well, today I am sharing the card I made for the Waltzingmouse Blog Hop...you know the one I missed. I used the Spring Baskets set again, I just love it! Take a moment to stop by the WM blog, Claire has introduced a few new stamp sets and they are charming! Okay, back to the card...I decided to try my hand at a gate fold card. It was fun and really easy to make using my Scor-Pal. I used patterned paper from CTMH and BG. The card stock is from CTMH. I like how it turned out, it does stand on its own, so Mum can display it on her desk.
And here is the open view...She loves daffodils, so I thought a basket full of them would be perfect for her. The colors in real life are very vibrant. They are coming across muted and faded on my monitor. The focal image is stamped on white and I framed it with a leftover piece from when I cut out the matting for these cards. I am really trying to use my scraps.
I thank you so much for dropping by today. I appreciate the visit. Have a wonderful Mother's Day!
Blessings!

Such a pretty card!
Beautiful, Barb! Your mom is sure to love it!
I've been thinking about you a lot and hoping all is going well (or as well as it could with all you have on your plate). I'm so glad to see you post. I hope that having your dad close by helps both you and he get through this difficult time with a little less stress.
Happy Mother's Day, my sweet friend!
Barb~this card is gorgeous! Oh, you are amazing!
I have been thinking about you and praying for your family. God Bless!
Barb, I hope you are able to get your father settled soon. I know what it is to take care of an aging parent. I'm keeping you all in my prayers. I love your card. I hope your Mother's Day is all that you want it to be.
Your card is beautiful, Barb. I am sure your mom loved it.
I hope things settle down for you soon and that you get your dad settled in a way that is good for all of you. We moved husband's mom last month, and my mom is moving from her home of 57 years the end of this month. Big adjustments for all of us, and I know why they call us the Sandwich Generation.
Take care, friend!
Such a pretty card, love the gate fold! Love those papers too!
Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
