Joy Fold Birthday Card

Hello Friends! I made another birthday card using the same patterned paper pack as my previous post. I figured since it was out and on my crafting area, why not?! This time, I created a card with a 'fancy fold'. It's called the Joy Fold. I have used this fold on a previous card, you can view that one HERE. It's a really neat fold, looks harder than it is, I promise!

Take a look...

I started out by cutting all the pieces, which is the most time consuming part of this card. Then I die cut the focal panel and did the stamping. I added texture to the red piece with an embossing folder. The frosting is adhered with dimensional adhesive. After punching the flame out, I glittered it.  The little 'make a wish' button down in the bottom left serves as an anchor to hold the front flap closed.

Here's how it opens...

To reveal the sentiment inside...

It says, "There's something fabulous about your birthday{must be you!}" Isn't that a great sentiment?! I left a small area for writing a message, but one could easily add more blank card stock to the side flaps for a larger writing area.

That is all for me today. Thank you so much for stopping in. I appreciate the visit.

Blessings~

Wow, Barb, this is a great birthday card. I like the fold for sure. And the papers you chose are spot on. Love what you did with the cupcake, too. That sentiment is terrific! All around wonderful card, my friend!
