Baby Shower Bookmarks

Hello Friends! I've got something really sweet I want to share with you. I was asked by a friend, if I could create some bookmarks for table favors for her daughter's baby shower. Of course I said, YES! She had some specific design ideas for the bookmarks...

1. The theme of the baby shower is LAMBS. So I had to feature a lamb.
2. The baby is a girl. So they had to be PINK.
3. She wanted the first half of the 23 Psalm on them.
4. She needed 40 of them. (YIKES!)

After my head finished spinning, I set about designing the bookmarks. I knew I had to choose a nice/cute font. I knew I had to find a lamb stamp, sticker or image. And I knew I needed to find a style of bookmark that would work with all the specifics. First stop was the Silhouette Online Store. And that is where I found the bookmark...It's #31601 just in case you'd like to make a few bookmarks of your own. :) I re-sized it to fit my needs, as the original file is just a bit larger. My next stop, after many Google searches, was to a delightful site, called Primsy Doodle Designs, where I found the most adorable little lamb. And finally, for the font...I have several fonts on an external hard drive, so it was just a matter of finding one that fit the mood I was going for and installing it on my laptop. Viola'! It all came together and this is the finished project...

I did the basic designing in Photoshop. Then, I brought everything over to the Silhouette. I did this project assembly line style and in several stages. Where is my signature sparkle, you ask? I went over the sun and the lambs' curly top with my Wink of Stella glitter brush. :) Yeah...I had to fit it in somewhere! Finally, I bundled up the bookmarks, tied them with baker's twine and called it DONE!
