Hello Friends! I received my June card kit from Simon Says Stamp a few days ago and I am excited to share the card I made. I am proud to say that I shamelessly CASED this card from the EXTREMELY talented Shari Carroll. When I saw her card, during the kit reveal, HERE, I knew I had to create one of my own.
I love this kit. The patterned papers are sooo pretty, but my favorite part has to be the stamp set. It's a Simon exclusive, designed by the fabulous Kristina Werner and it is a 'builder set'; the flower pieces are all separate so they can be inked up with any color combo. Fun stuff! I like that touch of soft grey for the sentiment, too. I think black would have been too strong for the delicate colors of the inks. I added lots of sequins on this one, so it has sparkle for days! I really like how it turned out.
That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings~

Woweee, Barb! This is fantastic! I adore those colors, so soft and pretty and lovely! The stamped flowers look fabulous on the die cuts (the base looks watercolor-esque to me). Pretty sequins, too. Excellent work, sweet friend.
Your card is sweet and so picturesque, Barb. The colors are so delicate and pretty. Love the scattered sequins and popped up flowers - nice dimension.
