Hello Friends! It's going to be a quick post for me this evening. I think I'm suffering from eye strain. My eyes are so sore and they feel tired! It's from all this coloring and blogging! LoL! Okay, lets take a look at what I worked on today..
Well, I jumped on the band wagon and purchased a Brother ScanNCut 2. It took me a few minutes to set it up and learn how to do the basics. I definitely need to set aside some time to learn how all of the features work. It did a really great job cutting out my digital images. It's going to virtually eliminate the need for me to fussy cut or buy dies to coordinate with stamp sets.
It did a pretty good job, right?! I still have some learning to do, but it's not bad for my first cut. And then I colored one with Spectrum Noir colored pencils. I used Prismacolors on the apples and the eggplant, though because I don't have reds and purples in my Spectrum sets.
I used no blending solution on this. The Spectrum Noir pencils blend beautifully and very smoothly with no solution. After I finished the coloring, I added some Crystal Effects to the apples and a tiny bit of clear Wink of Stella to the cornucopia.
That's it for me today. Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings~

Oooh, I hope you rest your eyes a bit, Barb, so they feel better. Congrats on your splurge. Looks like the machine works great. Yay for you! Happy for you that you have found some pencils where you don't need a blending solution to achieve the look you want. Your cornucopias look fantastic! Excellent work. Hugs!
What a cool new toy you've got there, Barb! It looks like it does a great job --and just think of all the time/$$ you'll save not having to fussy cut/die cut your images! Your cornucopia is lovely {hooray for not having to use blending solution! --maybe it even works to help relieve your eyes a little in that coloring should take less time than when you have to blend, right? Sounded good anyway. ;)}, and I like the shiny apples. Can't wait to see other examples of what this new machine can do {good thing it can't color too or we'd have nothing left to do -lol!}.
