Quick and Simple Birthday Card

Hello Friends! Happy Saturday to you! I will be brief today, I know you have things to do. I've been working on birthday cards...

This card has a lot of layers, but it was very quick and easy to make. I stamped the main image with My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid ink, because I wanted to do a little Copic coloring. I kept the coloring really simple and just colored a few of the flowers. I did some dry embossing and colored the pearls with Copics, so they would coordinate with the patterned paper.

Here's a look at the inside...also very quick and easy to make.

I used my MISTI to ensure perfect placement...LOVE that tool. And if you didn't know, I'll tell you that My Sweet Petunia, the makers of the MISTI, have come out with a smaller sized MISTI, something that is better suited for card makers. Sooo...if you've been holding out on getting one, you might want to have a look at the newer version. Aaaaaand, back to the card...I did some simple matting of the sentiment panel and my card was all finished. Sometimes you just need something quick and easy, but still very nice. They don't all have to be 'masterpieces' or require several steps.

That's all I have for you today. Be sure to come back on Monday, because I'll have a quick and easy Valentine's Day card to share, featuring a new Power Poppy digi. You don't want to miss it!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings~

Oh my goodness, Barb! This is fabulous!! What a beautiful birthday card. I really like the black and yellow color combination here. Those flowers on the background piece are so very pretty and work so well with the cake! What a great looking cake stand, too. I adore every detail in this card! Thanks for the heads up on the smaller MISTI. Maybe someday I can add this awesome sounding tool to my stash. :) Happy weekend! Happy Hugs!!
