Hello, Friends! Happy November and Happy Sunday! It's the 5th of the month so I've got a new Power Poppy digi set to share. I don't know how she does it but, Marcella has given us another wonderful image to add to our Instant Garden. This one is just perfect for this time of year. A time I like to call, Fall Into Christmas...get it? Tee hee hee! Anyway...this new set is called Forest Finds and I am totally smitten with it. Take a look...
It's pretty awesome, right? I love the vintage feel of this image! Here's what Marcella has to say...
"Embrace forest finds — or glass ornament lookalikes! — for this special holiday grouping. A vintage pinecone, tiny pumpkin, and pomegranate ornament are arranged among poinsettia leaves and a berry-bedecked twig. Color this illustration for a simple, sweet, and quite unique way to wish your friends and family a warm and wonderful holiday season."
Because the sentiments are not Christmas specific and there is a tiny pumpkin ornament, this image fills the bill for both Fall or Christmas cards. I also think this would be beautiful colored and then foiled with gold. That would be soooo pretty! I have lots of ideas, just not a lot of energy. But, I am sharing my "wip" or "work in progress".
This is such a fun image to color! I used Prismacolor colored pencils and NO blending solution. I just used the pencils for blending. I'm really liking that technique...just my pencils and me! I plan to add lots of sparkle and maybe even a little "snow". We'll see! I hope to finish this up today and get it on a card!

Ooh, sweet Barb, this is starting to "bloom" already! I love it and love the wee pumpkin you've colored so sweetly. And your berries are fabulous.
