Getting Back to What I KNOW

Getting back to what I know...yes, that is digital scrapping. I dabble in card making, scrapping is my first love. So here are a few layouts from a week long Scrapbooking Retreat I attended in Palm Springs, California. It was in September, just turned Autumn. The Desert was beautiful...nice place to visit, wouldn't want to live there. Super fun Retreat and I was very productive, I completed 30 or so pages. We didn't just work on scrapbooks. Some made cards, jewelry, books, whatever...it's just nice having time away to work uninterrupted on your craft of choice. We stayed at a Resort, in a Villa, with swimming pools, lakes, golf and lots of other amenities, including a FABULOUS Sunday Brunch, where the food appealed to all of the senses. There was even a Starbucks across the lawn from our Villa...gotta love that!
If you ever have an opportunity to attend one of these getaways...TAKE IT!

This was the view from our Villa. The grounds around this place were lush and very green. Not at all what I would expect from the 'desert'. Just gorgeous!

There were geese, ducks, swans and flamingos here! I am a bird-lover, too, so I was thrilled to see all of the other 'guests' at the Resort.

Here are some goodies from the Dessert Buffet at Sunday Brunch. I am such a foodie...I just had to photograph these darling little tidbits! Look at that swan! It tasted yummy, too!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Oh, what memories this brings back for me (I lived all my life, but for the last two years, in So. Cal, just an hour from Palm Springs). Like you said, though, nice place to visit, wouldn't want to live there. lol

Your pics are beautiful and your LOs are simply gorgeous! From the looks of it, you had a wonderful time. Looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful work. tsmfs!

Having grown up in Southern California and living for 5 years in the High Desert in Palmdale, I SO know what you mean about nice to visit, wouldn't want to live there. I've been in CO since '94 and wouldn't move back to CA! The resort must have some high water bill for such greenery!

Your layouts look stunning and I cannot believe that swan!

Thanks for sharing!!!
