Card from Starla

This is the birthday card my friend Starla made for me. She combined a few of my favorite things to create it. Roses, ribbon, butterflies, bling and pink! The roses are dried flowers that her sister contributed, the butterfly is made of a floral fabric that she pieced onto cardstock, the gold gilded edge ribbon is from her stash and then the 'B' monogram is from a book of alphas, she added a bit of bling on top of that. It doesn't show well in the photo, but she sponged the background of the card with a few colors so it looks like marble. I think it's beautiful! I have to tell you, Starla is a card making machine. In the time that it takes me to make one card, she will have completed 3 or 4...the ideas just roll. She doesn't use sketches or magazines for inspiration...just whatever pops into her pretty little head! :-) She also completely decorates the inside of her cards too, with florals, fabrics, or special papers she pieced together.

Thanks for popping in today! Have a good one.

What a lovely card you received, Barb! And Happy {belated} Birthday to you! I hope you enjoyed your special day. How fun that you and your daughter have birthdays so close to each other. ;)

P.S. I actually visited your site earlier today, but before I posted, I got sidetracked by your link to Debbie Olson's blog...where I killed far too much time! You really shouldn't do that, ya know.... lol
