I decided to make Vic's announcements with paper and scissors, instead of going digital
. I love the ease of digital, but Vic wanted flowers and I was just not into the daisy on the cap. Then, when I was visiting one of my favorite blogs
, I discovered this blog
that had a tutorial showing how to make my criss cross cards fast and easy, using the no waste method. I made a big stack of these in 30 minutes. I typed up the info and printed it out, trimmed it up and I will slide a photo of Vic in the center of the belly band and they are ready to go! Just that easy.
I used a two tone ink for the cap stamp. I don't know if it shows well, but the cap has a little gold fleck on it, you know I love a bit of bling! Have a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by!
I LOVE criss-cross cards (and CTMH's Silhouette papers), and your idea to put them together was perfect! They turned out so pretty!! Nice that you made so many in such a short period of time -- always a plus. Hope things go together that quickly for my daughter's wedding invitations....
Your graduation cards are SO elegant, Barb--love them! Your daughter's picture turned out great too!
These are absolutely beautiful!!! Almost makes hlme wish I had purchased the Silhouette paper pack before I stopped being a consultant. LOL
I'm so glad you found a design that worked so well for you.
Sheesh...I meant to also write thank you for linking up to my blog. That was so sweet of you! I'm glad you've gotten inspiration there. :o)
This is beautiful! I love the criss cross card idea, just could never figure it out. Thank you for the link, now I can make some of my own. The papers you used are perfect for this. Those are Close to My Heart? I haven't seen a catalog in years...just beautiful!!!
This is sooo pretty! Very elegant.
Sorry think I'm having a blonde day. I absolutely love this card and would like to make some for a 50th wedding anniversary I have coming up.
Can you please tell me where the link is to the pattern.
