Mother's Day Card for My Mom

Using that same sketch from this month's issue of SheetLoad, I made this card for my mom. For such a simple card, it sure took a lot of my time! I was able to put my new Copics to use. I really like them, but I need more practice. I also used that two-toned ink to stamp my tulip image. I like that little bit of gold shimmer the ink has. I colored the background of my stamped image with a CTMH watercolor pencil and then brushed over it with a water brush. I used my Cuttlebug on the cardstock and rounded my corners.

Credits-Card base:White Scored Note Cards-Papertrey Ink. Cardstock/Papers:CTMH Life Delights Level 2 Paper Pack. Ink:Lightning Black-Tsukineko. Markers:Copics. Blush-CTMH. Other:Fawn Watercolor Pencil-CTMH. Ribbon:Wrights By The Yard-WalMart. Cuttlebug w/Textile embossing folder.

I'm glad you stopped by today. Thanks for visiting!

Pretty card! I love the colors and all of the textures. Copics can be difficult, just practice, practice, practice. I think the coloring looks fine, tho'. Thanks for sharing it.
