Many Thanks Card

I am still attempting to grow my card stash. It seems like each time I make a card, I have an occasion that arises to use the card. This one is going to my Godparents. They always send me a little goodie for my birthday. Gotta love that! I used my Copics on this one, so don't look too closely. I'm still learning the ins and outs of these markers. I really like them, how they glide across the paper and how they deliver a vivid punch of color, but they do take some getting used to. Learning to use my Copics is my summer project. Any and all tips are greatly appreciated.

Your card is beautiful Barb! You have the hang of using the Copic Markers though. I love your selection of DP and the scalloped border is awesome!

If you would like a few tips for coloring try this;
1. Always start your image with the lightest shade of that particular color. Do not color the area in completely, leave some area untouched.
2. Now...pick up a marker that is a shade or two darker than the first marker. Take a small area at a time and outline your colored image. NOW..apply what I call the kissing technique. Take you darker marker and dab(kiss) it onto the lighter marker.
3. Now...return to the darker outlined area and start blending the colors. Move your marker in sm. round circles and you should see the colors blending together smoothly.
Also, Debbie Olson has a wonderful tutorial, one of the best I have seen so far.
One of these days, I'm going to make a coloring tutorial.
Have a wonderful weekend:)
