Sweet One

We have had various guests at our home since June 27th. Just between us...I wish everyone would go home!...Did I just say that?! I love having people over, but I am tired! Last night, we put our niece on the train to go back home and then we went to pick up Vic's best friend, who slept over because this morning, we picked up MissyP's best friends,so we could spend the day at the beach.

And tonight all of those friends are sleeping over. Whew! I took a stack of stamped images with me to color and that kept me busy while the girls played in the water. I also got in a much needed nap!

Onward...Here is a card I made for my cousin and his wife. They've got a new baby boy! Congrats, Jimmy and Tatiana! I really wanted to put white grosgrain ribbon on this card, but my cousin is such a manly-man, I thought twice about it because it might offend him. I am thinking now that he might have an issue with the scallops, but...what's done is DONE. lol! The card is pretty straight forward...used my nesties to cut the stamped image, pierced the scallops with the piercing tool. I outlined the moon with a Gelly Roll pen and popped the whole thing up with pop dots. Try as I might, I simply could not get a good photo of this card.

Supplies- Cardstock:Neenah Solar White. Heavenly Blue Textured (CTMH). Papers: Spring Stack (DCWV). Stamps:So Many Scallops (SU!). Thoughtful Scripts (CTMH). Ink:Sea Breeze VersaMagic Chalk (Tsukineko). Other: Petite Scalloped Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders). Gelly Roll Glitter pen (Sakura).

Thank you so much for visiting me! Good night.

Guests can be such a joy, but also such a job. You're blessed in that people love to spend time with you enough to stay at your home! ;) (HINT: If you're not wanting long-term company, maybe you shouldn't be such a wonderful, gracious hostess! lol)

Your card is adorable, Barb! It's not over-the-top frilly, so the scallops should be fine. ;) And I hear ya on not being able to take a good pic...the detail shows up well, but I'm beginning to think that pastels just don't photograph well. I have trouble with them too. Thanks for sharing, and congrats on your newest family member!
