Celebrate

Victoria needed a card for her friend Myles' birthday. This is what I came up with. The card base is one that I've had in my stash for years, it already had the little window cut out, so I covered the front with CTMH paper, stamped my image onto White Daisy cardstock and inked the edges. I used Twilight ink for the cupcake cup and Chocolate ink for the frosting. I put Dazzling Diamonds on the frosting for a bit of sparkle. I colored the cup and candle with Copics and ran a Gelly Roll pen over the flame to bling it up. I stamped my sentiment, matted it with Bamboo and Twilight. I also clipped the corners with my Ticket Corner punch by SU! I added a bit of card jewelry in the form of a photo corner tied with a scrap of ribbon. It's for a 17 year old young man...he's probably just going to look at it, smile and throw it in the round file. LOL! Thanks for looking!

Supplies-Cardstock:Twilight, Bamboo, White Daisy(CTMH). Paper:Simple Pleasures(CTMH). Stamps:Hey There Cupcake(Stampendous!). Birthday Centers-Mona Lisa Moments(Cornish Heritage Farms). Ink:Chocolate, Twilight(CTMH). Other-Ribbon:Twilight Collection(CTMH) Antiqued Brass Photo Hanger(CTMH). Dazzling Diamonds(SU!) Copic Markers, Gelly Roll pen(Sakura).

Thanks for visiting with me today. Have a good one.

Great card! I love all the details you put into it. The pre-cut window is awesome! AND Simple Pleasures is one of the best sets from CTMH. It is so versatile.

That's a great 'guy' card, Barb! I have to agree with you, though, with the average lifespan for a card given to a teenage boy. lol Bummer, huh. Oh, well. At least we know that going into it. lol

I like the window, the cute ticket you made for the sentiment, and the cupcake! Speaking of cupcakes...I started my dad's bday card the other day (haven't had a chance to finish it yet), but I'm using that same stamp set. Cupcakes are so cute...though I'm sure most guys couldn't care less. lol
