Digital Scrapbooking Layouts...

I have received a few e-mails regarding the layouts I share on my blog. All of the layouts I have posted have been created digitally, using my computer and Adobe Photoshop Elements or Adobe Photoshop CS. I purchase digital kits from online sources and then download them onto an external hard drive, where I can retrieve them and use them over and over. I also make use of FREEBIES-because who doesn't like free?! These are kits and things that the designers are gracious enough to share at no cost and I have a listing of some of those sites in my right sidebar. I also have a small listing of some of the digital sites I frequent. Honestly, I'm all over the place, trying to find the 'perfect' kit for a certain photo. When I post a layout, I usually include where the kit came from in a link underneath the layout that says, 'click photo for credits'. If you see something that is not labeled and you are interested in it, please e-mail me. I have thousands and I do mean thousands of digital kits, elements, fonts and alphas, so sometimes when I create I just start pulling from my files and I don't make note of where things came from. But, if you contact me, I will try my best to get that information for you.

Most of my digital scrapping is done with templates. These little gems are such time savers. In a nutshell, templates are to a digital scrapper, what card sketches are to a card maker. I probably would not have as many layouts completed if I didn't use templates. I have and I occasionally do build my layouts from 'scratch', if I can not find something that suits me. Every now and then I will use a quick page and I have given an example of that in the Pumpkin Carvin' post below.

I hope this helps.

Wishing you all the best~

Thank you for the helpful hints Barb! I've done 12 pages now for the adoption book - all digital - and I'm so excited with how they are turning out!

=) Have a great Sunday!
