Owly Christmas

I've been playing around at Paper Craft Planet again! I took on my blog buddy, Kim's sketch challenge this week. I have to admit, it stumped me for a bit. I just couldn't come up with anything that worked with any of the stamp sets I have. Finally, I was able to break thru the fog and this is what I came up with. Remember, PCP offers a new sketch every Saturday, so join the fun and play along!

The card is pretty simple and really does explain itself. I couldn't find my Liquid Applique, so I went to my manicure bag and pulled out a cotton pad. I ripped it apart to get to the fibers and just glued that onto the santa hat. This stamp set cracks me up! The owl looks like I feel, some days! LOL! I stamped the owl in black on Colonial White cardstock and colored him with Copics. I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the chipboard pop ups from the Evensong paper. Then I put that little jewel in the center to give it a bit of sparkle. I used a lot of pop dots on this one, too, so the card wouldn't be so flat. And that is about it!
