We decided to really make Spring Break a BREAK. My Man has taken a week off from work and we're just relaxing. It was warm enough for us to spend the day at the beach after church yesterday. It stayed very nice right up until sunset. My Man and I grew up minutes from the beach and we spent a lot of time there. WHY we moved inland, is a question I ask myself every summer! Anyway...even though we are no longer a bike ride from the shore, we don't mind packing up the car and taking a drive to arrive at this destination...
The beach was really empty, but the water was full of life. Lots of sailboats and speed boats. And we saw quite a few dolphins at play too.
The water is still pretty cold. The girls decided to walk along the shoreline and gather sea stuff...shells, rocks, glass to add to their collection.
One rule I have about sea stuff...wash it out and make sure there is nothing living in the shells. I can't count how many 'guests' we've taken home unaware. And I bet you know how we discovered them...yep. We just followed our nose!

Oh Barb! I haven't been to the ocean in SO long! This is just beautiful. How lucky for you and your family to be able to head over pretty much whenever you want. I used to go to the beach weekly when I was a kid. Thanks for sharing and bringing up such fun memories for me!

Love your beach pics! It sounds like you enjoyed a perfect day together as a family...and there's not much more perfect than a day at the beach! Whenever we go back to CA for a visit, we always include a day at the beach. ;) Enjoy your break!
