Yummy Strawberries

I have a card to share this evening! I've been spending time crafting with SweetP, we've been doing bead art. But I got some new goodies last week and I told her I wanted to make just one card, please! So here it is. I purchased the SOM from Ellen Hutson this month. This is not the image that came in the bundle, but the paper, the red cardstock and the ribbon did. I wanted to work with some strawberries that I colored during one of our beach trips and I wanted to use this awesome Graphic 45 paper. I really like the Graphic 45 papers. I found a huge assortment at my LSS and some of them followed me home. The papers are double sided, gotta love that...and this one is from the Playtimes Past Collection and it's called Hopscotch. Such cute names, too! Hopscotch...remember that game? I used to draw a big one on our patio, with chalk and then pull the barrettes out of my hair to use as my marker. Anyway...don't let me get started down Memory Lane! LOL! Here is the card...


It's pretty self explanatory, right? The focal is mounted on foam tape. I colored my image with Copics. And I used the new distress inks from PTI, the Vintage Touch Tea Dye Duo. I just added a little to the focal and then on the sentiment. I need to practice with them some more. I have always used a sponge to add my distress inks. With these you put the pad directly on the paper. I have to admit, the first few I tried are sitting in the trash can. Overall, I like the way the card turned out. I don't know if it will go into my Etsy Shop yet.
