Grrrr.

A while ago, I made some cute little animals with my Stampin' Up! punches. I decided to pull some out to make a card for my nephew's 10th birthday. I also put together a few book marks for him, because books are my favorite gift to give children. I got the directions for making these punch critters from here. I can tell you they are easy to make and very addictive. I sat down to make one or two lady bugs and ended up with a dozen. The same with the lion and the lamb...once I got started I just kept going and going. Creating a card with these adorable cuties was fast and easy, too. Have a look...

Nothing too fancy here. My nephew is going to be 10 and he's all boy. I can tell you that he will rip the lion from the card and play with it until it falls apart. His mom, my sister, will give me the brads and the button back and if she can salvage the ribbon, I'll get that back as well. I used scraps of paper and card stock to create the card, the lion was made using all SU! card stock, following the recommendations on the website.

And here are the bookmarks. Pretty cute, huh? Yeah, I can't take credit for them, I got the idea from Angie's site, too. I know my nephew will like these. They're kind of like puppets already. And I can see him tormenting his sister with them, putting them just inches from her face, saying, 'but I'm not touching you'. Ahhh...little brothers!

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving. Ours was very nice. My Man and I cooked and we spent the day with family. It was bittersweet, since we didn't have daddy or my mother-in-law with us this time round. Both of them are recuperating from recent surgeries and we thought it best that they not travel at this time. Hopefully we will all be together for Christmas. Which reminds me...I need to give my blog it's 'Christmas face'! I'd better see to that right now. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for the visit. Until next time~

Blessings~

This is just adorable, Barb! Wow! I can just SEE your nephew tormenting his sisters. LOL

I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving, even though the entire family couldn't be there. As you say, it makes looking toward Christmas extra special.

Enjoy the holiday season!
